| Batesburg-Leesville Primary and the B-L and Twin City Rotary Clubs will present "Got Book?" on Tuesday, January 31 at 6 p.m. in the BLPS cafeteria. An art show will also be held from 5-7 p.m. and a spaghetti supper sponsored by the school's PTO will be held in the cafeteria beginning at 6:30 p.m. |

January 9, 2012- Please return the permission slip for the Charleston Field Trip with $25.00 deposit by Thursday, January 12, 2012 ( last day) if you want your child to go on the field trip. The permission slip and information can be found under Class Files at the bottom of my web page. January 17, 2012 Report Cards Diamond Del's is coming to our school Friday, January 27th. Please make sure that your child returns their permission form with the $9.00 fee before January 26th so that they can participate. The children will have lots of fun mining for rocks. This week we will be reading The Great Kapok Tree. We will work on comprehension, vocabulary, and cause/effect. In word study, we willstudy words with the suffix endings ful, ness, less, and ly. The children will write their words each night in cursive. In Social Studies, we will continue studying early settlement of South Carolina. Our focus this week will be the groups who settled in South Carolina and slavery. We will have a test on Chapter 4 Lesson 3 Thursday. The children will copy homework each day in their agenda. The word study list and the homework can be found on this web page. Thank you!  Prepared for school!Please help your child come prepared for school each day.
